Individuals with previous experience operating a remote controlled Overhead Crane in a steel service center or fabrication environment.
Responsible for operating an overhead crane to lift, move, position, reposition steel and heavy material to stock areas.Log and report inventory location changes according to specified procedureAssemble customer orders according to work ordersLog and tag inventory received according to specified procedureRecord pertinent material information on to work orders or other forms as specified by managementSpecial projects as specified by management. Performance of other Warehouse or Processing / Maintenance Department tasks as required by the absence of a department member or due to the existence of a backlog of work.
| REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
| Minimum 2-3 years industrial materials handling. Must have effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to read and write English. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
