Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

The Manufacturing Certified Trainer is responsible for facilitating training on the production floor. Lead our employee development initiatives through hands-on, audio, and visual training. Assisting production when not managing new hires, cross-training, or re-training.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

High School GED or equivalent.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 1 year in Operations for specified department, manufacturing, machinery etc.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Preferred qualifications)

  • STAR Mentor Training

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and train new hires (maximum of 2) as well as current employees as needed on machines, processes and procedures.
  • Complete of current re-training as requested by department.
  • Choosing appropriate training methods per case (virtual, simulated, mentoring, on the job training, etc.)
  • Complete cross training as requested by the department.
  • Complete weekly training reports and assessments on trainees.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
  • MS Office proficiency
  • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skill
  • Works well under pressure
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to collaborate with all levels of an organization
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work interdepartmentally
