Talon Recruiting has partnered with a national distributor of truck mounted equipment in search of a bilingual Outside Sales Representative to join their growing team covering Montreal and Ottawa.

As the Outside Sales Rep, you must strive to maintain current customer relationships while constantly securing new customers with the understanding that growth and development of the assigned territory is a major goal. The Outside Sales Rep must have the ability to become knowledgeable of the assigned territory including;

  • All identified equipment product lines including, but not limited to, landscape/service bodies, flat decks, roll-offs, tool boxes, hook lifts, cranes, etc...
  • Understanding the marketplace and potential for each product along with complementary product lines such as hydraulics, snow control, driveline etc.

Other responsibilities include contacting new and existing customers to discuss their needs, and to explain how these needs could be met by specific products and services; emphasizing product features based on technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations; negotiating prices and terms of sales and service agreements; and preparing sales contracts.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in the truck equipment market preferred (or equivalent combination of training, education and experience)
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Truck Equipment, Industry and Hydraulics knowledge an asset
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers
  • Demonstrated time-management / organizational skills within a fast-paced environment
  • Detail oriented with excellent problem solving skills
  • Computer literate with proficiency using basic programs such as Windows and Outlook

En tant que représentant des ventes externe, vous devrez vous efforcer d'entretenir les relations avec les clients actuels tout en en acquérant constamment de nouveaux, en sachant que la croissance et le développement du territoire assigné constituent un objectif majeur. Le représentant des ventes externe doit posséder une connaissance approfondie du territoire assigné, notamment :

Toutes les gammes d'équipement identifiées, y compris, mais sans s'y limiter, les carrosseries d'aménagement paysager et de service, les plateformes, les remorques à benne basculante, les coffres à outils, les élévateurs à crochet, les grues, etc.

Comprendre le marché et le potentiel de chaque produit, ainsi que les gammes de produits complémentaires comme les systèmes hydrauliques, le déneigement, la transmission, etc.

Vos autres responsabilités incluent la prise de contact avec les clients, nouveaux et existants, afin de discuter de leurs besoins et d'expliquer comment des produits et services spécifiques pourraient y répondre ; la mise en avant des caractéristiques des produits en fonction de vos connaissances techniques, de leurs capacités et de leurs limites ; la négociation des prix et des conditions des contrats de vente et de service ; et la préparation des contrats de vente.

Qualifications :

Au moins 3 ans d'expérience pertinente dans le secteur des équipements pour camions, de préférence (ou une combinaison équivalente de formation, d'études et d'expérience).

Permis de conduire valide.

Connaissances en équipements pour camions, en industrie et en hydraulique, un atout.

Capacité à établir et à entretenir des relations durables avec les clients.

Sens de l'organisation et gestion du temps avérés dans un environnement dynamique.

Souci du détail et excellentes compétences en résolution de problèmes.

Maîtrise de l'informatique et maîtrise des logiciels de base tels que Windows et Outlook.
