We’re looking for a relationship-driven Outside Sales Representative to grow and support our dealer network. This is a field-based role (70–80% on the road) with the autonomy to manage your territory, build strong partnerships, and make a real impact on the business. You’ll also spend 1–2 days per week in your home office on follow-ups, quotes, and planning.
You’ll be supported by experienced leaders who will provide the tools and training needed to succeed—what matters most is your drive, ownership, and ability to build lasting relationships.
Responsibilities
• Manage and grow a portfolio of dealer accounts through regular on-site visits
• Build strong, long-term relationships by delivering consistent service and follow-through
• Identify new business opportunities and actively prospect within your territory
• Promote lumber and composite decking products, including new product launches
• Provide product knowledge, training, and sales support to customers
• Inspect job sites and resolve customer issues quickly and professionally
• Act as the main point of contact for customer needs, inquiries, and escalations
• Prepare and present quotes, proposals, and sales agreements
• Follow up on orders, quotes, and open opportunities to drive conversion
• Track customer activity, sales performance, and market trends
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and customer satisfaction
• Maintain organized reporting and territory planning
Qualifications:
• 2+ years of sales experience
• Experience in lumber/building materials is an asset—but not required
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Problem-solver with a customer-first mindset
• Valid driver’s license (company vehicle provided)
• Clean driver's abstract
• Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office)
