Job Description

Waste Connections has an immediate opening for an Outside Sales Rep to join our team in Nashville, TN

Our Outside Sales Rep will work directly with the District Sales Manager to formulate both short-term and long-term goals and action plans for the hauling company. We seek individuals with a leadership mentality and desire to grow with promotional opportunities in this role.

Schedule: Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays as needed for community events.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Selling commercial waste removal and disposal services.
  • Preparing proposals, calling on new and existing customers, and utilizing /owning our Salesforce driven CRM tool, ARES.
  • Being the main point of contact for a current book of business of commercial accounts.
  • Interacting with customers, non-profit, business associations, and trade shows.
  • Gathering contract expiration dates, documenting existing customer concerns, and working with other departments to satisfy customer requests for service.
  • 80% of your time will be spent in your designated territory, prospecting, building relationships, and exploring market opportunities.
  • 20% of this position will be spent in the office doing team building, strategic planning, and account management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Reliable transportation required.
