The Opportunity:

ConnectPay, LLC. is seeking a compassionate, client-service-oriented Outside Sales Account Executive to join our growing sales team in the Denver, Colorado market.

In this field-based role, you will build relationships with small and medium-sized business owners, uncover their payroll and HR challenges, and demonstrate how ConnectPay, LLC. solutions can help simplify their operations and support their business goals.

The ideal candidate is a consultative, results-driven sales professional who enjoys prospecting, building relationships, developing a territory, and guiding prospects through the entire sales process—from initial conversation through close.

You will be responsible for an assigned territory in the Bergen/Passaic areas, with a focus on generating new business and building a strong presence within the local business community.

What You'll Do

• Own the full sales cycle, including territory planning, prospecting, pipeline development, lead qualification, discovery meetings, presentations, negotiations, and closing new business.
• Conduct consultative conversations with business owners and decision makers to understand their payroll and HR needs, challenges, and goals.
• Identify opportunities where ConnectPay's payroll and HR solutions can deliver meaningful value to prospective clients.
• Build, manage, and continuously develop a healthy sales pipeline within your assigned territory.
• Prospect through a combination of networking, referrals, community involvement, social selling, and other outbound sales strategies.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with local business leaders, professional networks, community organizations, and other referral sources to generate new opportunities.
• Manage and develop a defined geographic territory with a focus on long-term growth and market penetration.
• Consistently meet or exceed established sales activity, pipeline, and revenue goals.
• Track and report sales activity and performance metrics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis using CRM and other sales tools.
• Partner with prospective clients and internal implementation teams to ensure the documentation and information required for a smooth transition to ConnectPay are collected and complete.
• Represent ConnectPay professionally in the local business community and serve as a trusted resource for prospective clients.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of outside B2B sales experience in a quota-carrying, results-driven environment.
• Experience selling payroll, HR, HCM, SaaS, or other business services.
• Proven experience with prospecting, cold outreach, lead generation, and new business development.
• Demonstrated success managing and growing a defined sales territory.
• A track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to establish rapport with business owners and decision makers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a polished, professional presence.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to understand customer needs and connect those needs to effective solutions.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple prospects and opportunities throughout the sales cycle.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and social media/digital networking platforms.
• Self-motivated, persistent, and comfortable working independently in a field-based sales environment.
• Valid driver's license and the ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
• Established relationships within the local small-business community.

Compensation:

ConnectPay believes in fair and equitable compensation. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $55,000–$76,000. In addition to base salary, ConnectPay, LLC. team members receive equity and a role-based incentive plan (actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including education, training, experience, location, and internal equity). This position is also commission-eligible with a target on-target earnings (OTE) range is $100,000–$125,000 (base salary plus commission). Details regarding the sales incentive and commission structure will be shared during the interview process.
