Outside Sales Representative

Location: Central Florida | Daytona Beach, Orlando, Ocala, Tampa, and surrounding markets

Position Summary

Lindsay Precast is seeking a driven, relationship-focused Outside Sales Representative to grow our presence throughout Central Florida. This individual will take ownership of a large, high-potential territory and develop lasting relationships with contractors, project managers, estimators, engineers, municipalities, and other key industry partners. The ideal candidate is a true road warrior who enjoys being in the field, meeting customers, visiting jobsites, identifying upcoming projects, and creating new business opportunities. This is not a desk-based sales position. The representative will typically attend meetings in the office on Mondays and spend Tuesday through Friday actively working throughout the assigned territory. Due to the size of the territory, some overnight travel and hotel stays will be required.

Products

Examples of products include utility structures, box culverts, arches, tunnels, three-sided structures, junction chambers, foundations, and converting cast-in-place concrete to precast solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage and grow Lindsay Precast’s customer base throughout Central Florida.
• Develop business across Daytona Beach, Orlando, Ocala, Tampa, and surrounding markets.
• Spend four days per week traveling throughout the territory and meeting customers face-to-face.
• Travel overnight and stay in hotels as needed to provide effective territory coverage.
• Build relationships with contractors, project managers, estimators, engineers, municipalities, developers, and other decision-makers.
• Identify upcoming projects and position Lindsay Precast as the preferred precast supplier.
• Generate new opportunities through prospecting, networking, jobsite visits, industry events, and customer referrals.
• Maintain consistent communication with existing customers and uncover opportunities to expand each account.
• Work closely with estimating, project management, production, and dispatch to provide an excellent customer experience.
• Assist customers with product selection, project requirements, pricing, schedules, and delivery expectations.
• Track sales opportunities, customer activity, project status, and territory progress.
• Maintain a strong pipeline and develop a clear pathway to achieve monthly and annual sales goals.
• Attend Monday sales meetings at the Lindsay Precast office to review performance, priorities, customer needs, and upcoming opportunities.
• Represent Lindsay Precast professionally throughout the Central Florida construction and infrastructure markets.

Preferred Requirements

• Self-motivated, competitive, organized, and comfortable working independently.
• Willing and able to travel extensively throughout Central Florida, including occasional overnight hotel stays.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
• Comfortable walking jobsites and meeting customers in both office and field environments.
• Able to manage a large territory and prioritize multiple customers, projects, and opportunities.
• Experienced in outside sales, construction, precast concrete, utilities, underground infrastructure, building materials, or a related industry; familiarity with the Central Florida contractor, engineering, municipal, or development markets is preferred.
• Able to read construction plans, specifications, or bid documents—or willing to learn; valid driver’s license and a clean driving record required.
