Join CMA CGM JAPAN K.K., a leading player in the shipping industry, as a Outside Sales based in Japan. This rewarding role within our Sales Network Division calls for a dynamic and proactive professional to join our Management team, dedicated to driving commercial success in the maritime and associated logistics sectors.

About the Role

As a Outside Sales, you will be the key point of contact between CMA CGM and our valued customers in Japan. Your primary responsibility will be to nurture and expand existing client relationships while identifying and cultivating new business opportunities. You will function as a trusted advisor, understanding customer needs and offering tailored solutions that leverage the full spectrum of CMA CGM's comprehensive shipping and logistics services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and increase overall market share, sales volume, and revenue by executing the commercial strategy aligned with CMA CGM's objectives.
  • Identify and engage new business leads, working diligently to convert prospects into long-term clients.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis to identify commercial opportunities and stay ahead of competitive trends.
  • Promote CMA CGM group services, including maritime freight, e-commerce solutions, value-added services (VAS), intermodal transportation, and cross-selling opportunities through CEVA logistics offerings.
  • Plan and execute commercial visits based on agency sales segmentation, ensuring optimal customer engagement and service delivery.
  • Maintain precise and up-to-date commercial records and customer feedback within the CRM system to facilitate effective account management and reporting.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to establish and execute commercial action plans and keep sales segmentation relevant and accurate.
  • Analyze vessel space booking and loading forecasts to manage and optimize vessel load factors, ensuring effective utilization of shipping capacity.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a committed professional with a strong customer-centric approach and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Fluency in Japanese and English, both spoken and written, to manage interactions with diverse stakeholders effectively.
  • Professional business manners and the ability to engage with customers at various organizational levels respectfully and confidently.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strong time management, responsiveness, and analytical capabilities to address client needs and resolve challenges efficiently.
