Job Summary

The Outside Repair Technician travels to residential homes and off-site locations to inspect, repair, restore, and maintain stone installations, ensuring quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

• Surface polish natural stones, quartz, materials to manufacture specs.
• Polish edges and cutouts to meet required finish standards.
• Select appropriate abrasive wheels, pads, and compounds based on stone type and desired finish.
• Inspect surfaces by sight and touch to detect uneven areas or imperfections.
• Fill cracks or surface flaws using epoxies and glue to match the stone's color and pattern when needed.
• Clean finished surfaces to remove grit, residue, or polishing compounds.
• Maintain and repair polishing tools, pads, and station equipment; perform daily cleaning and upkeep.
• Operate hand and power tools safely, including grinders, buffers, and polishers.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Bilingual (Spanish / English)
• 10 years of industry experience
• Must have a valid Drivers License

Education and Experience

• Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Will take work experience in lieu of Education.

Physical Requirements and/or Working Conditions

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, and work in various positions for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull tools, equipment, and parts as required.
• Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions and safely access equipment in confined or difficult-to-reach areas.
• Factory environment, possibly including areas where eye protection, hearing protection, and respirators as required.
