
The Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy and education. ISGlobal is seeking a Part time OUTREACH TECHNICIAN who is interested in taking over and managing activities of the project “Impacte de la transmissió de bacteris Resistents als AntiMicrobians a la població de BarceLonA a través de parcs infantils (RAMBLA), involving:
The assessment of the duly implementation of all activities related to outreach and citizen science of RAMBLA’s project.
The organisation of the end-of-project workshops in order to disseminate the results and thus establish with the general public possible interventions to prevent the spread of resistant bacteria between the environment (children's playgrounds) and the population of the city of Barcelona.
The writing of the final report with two different versions depending on the audience for which it is intended (general population and policy makers of the city of Barcelona and other agencies involved in the public health of the territory).
These tasks will be developed in the Antimicrobial Resistance research group at Centre Esther Koplowitz (CEK). The project Code is 24S05847-001.
The key responsibility of the candidate will be to participate in the general organization of the project, and ensure that all the outreach tasks are correctly carried out within the scope and purpose of the “Impacte de la transmissió de bacteris Resistents als AntiMicrobians a la població de BarceLonA a través de parcs infantils (RAMBLA)” project.

Previous experience in molecular microbiology

Previous experience in outreach activities and citizen engagement in the AMR field
Experience in Science communication and development of citizen-oriented projects in AMR.
Experience in design of creative communication resources, and participatory and citizen science methodologies.
Proficiency in Catalan, English, and Spanish.
Contract: part-time (30 hours per week), 1.5 months
Salary: 35.373€ gross annual (for a 40hours per week)
Work-Life Balance: 36 days off per year (23 vacation days + 13 personal days)
Start date: September 2026

The selection process is designed in two phases:
1- Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation. To assess the person's skills and CV.
2 - Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues.
If needed any technical test could be passed. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions.
