  • Deliver child-centered, targeted support and bespoke programmes to vulnerable children, including adolescents dealing with complex emotional or mental health challenges.
  • Promote the safeguarding of children in accordance with statutory legislation and City Council policies, remaining alert to changing circumstances inside and outside the home.
  • Maintain precise electronic records, including chronologies and general notes, and produce detailed professional reports within strict deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • A relevant Level 3 or Level 4 qualification in Childcare, Social Care, Youth Work, or a related field is essential.

Essentials

  • Substantial experience working directly with children and families in a community, outreach, or home-based setting.
  • Understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and the levels of intervention within Children's Services.
  • A commitment to maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the legal frameworks and attending regular supervision with the Consultant Social Worker.
