
Established in 1980, the Greater Lawrence Family Health Center, Inc. (GLFHC) is a multi-site, mission-driven, non-profit organization employing over 700 staff whose primary focus is providing the highest quality patient care to a culturally diverse population throughout the Merrimack Valley. Nationally recognized as a leader in community medicine (family practice, pediatrics, internal medicine, and geriatrics), GLFHC has clinical sites throughout the service area and is the sponsoring organization for the Lawrence Family Medicine Residency program.
GLFHC is currently seeking an Outreach and Enrollment (O&E) Assistor. Under the supervision of Director Patient Access, the O&E Assistor performs all functions necessary to educate and assist patients who lack access to healthcare and health insurance information and education about the portal for insurance enrollment and in applying for appropriate coverage. The O&E Assistor is responsible for assisting in the resolution of any insurance or referring to ancillary services for resolution of financial issues to ensure coverage for services. In addition to “inreach” assistance to the GLFHC patient population, the O&E Assistor is will be the back-up to support the O&E Specialist in conducting community based outreach and education activities with community partners, with the goal of assisting and enrolling as many constituents into appropriate insurance products to ensure coverage.
