Status: Part-time

Shifts: Monday-Friday typically

Salary/Pay Band: Licensed $64,896.00 - $91,890.00 (Pay Band 9)/Unlicensed $61,460.00 - $89,571.50 (Pay Band 7) BOE

We are seeking a licensed or license-eligible Outpatient Therapist to support our Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) in northern Minnesota. This role focuses on in-person services, rapid access to care, Comprehensive/Initial Evaluations, and ongoing outpatient therapy. The position is ideal for clinicians interested in flexible scheduling while contributing to improved access, continuity of care, and integrated behavioral health services.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-person outpatient therapy to individuals across the lifespan, consistent with evidence-based and person-centered practices.
  • Complete Comprehensive/Initial Evaluations and clinical evaluations in alignment with Minnesota statutes and CCBHC requirements.
  • Support quick access / same-week appointment availability to reduce barriers to care and improve timely engagement.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including psychiatry, care coordination, peer support, and case management staff.
  • Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans that reflect client goals, medical necessity, and functional outcomes.
  • Complete clinical documentation accurately and within required timeframes to support compliance and quality outcomes.
  • Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and quality improvement activities as applicable to role status.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Effective interpersonal communications skills, both in Computer hardware and software skills sufficient to effectively interact with RMHC software and web-based programs
  • Able to attend to nonverbal cues from a person we support in a therapy setting
  • Able to converse and interact sufficiently to effectively communicate and record information proficiently in person, by telephone, or via tele-health technology
  • Able to interact with people in a pleasant manner
  • Able to handle sensitive situations in a calm, professional manner
  • Flexible and able to prioritize workload
  • Philosophical approach consistent with the Range Mental Health Center’s mission
  • Regular and reliable attendance is a requirement to this position

Education and Experience:

  • Experience working within a CCBHC or integrated care setting
  • Familiarity with quick access or same-day/rapid intake models
  • Experience serving rural or underserved populations
  • Knowledge of Minnesota behavioral health statutes and documentation standards

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Adequate level of vision to use computer terminal.
  • Sufficient hearing to accurately record information received verbally.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to maintain a Minnesota driver's license and auto insurance

About Range Mental Health Center

Range Mental Health Center (RMHC) was the first rural community mental health center in the United States and the first in Minnesota to provide services developed specifically for persons with serious and persistent mental illness. The Center was established in 1961 and was the 16th federally designated community mental health center in the nation, and the first in Minnesota.

Mental health services are provided each year to over 5,000 adults, children, and families. The service area of RMHC covers northern St. Louis County, and expands for more than 6,800 square miles.
