Qualifications:
Must have dependable transportation. Able to use pallet jack, two-wheel dollies and four-wheel carts.
Able to sort and pack merchandise for safe storage or transport.
Education and Experience:
No specific educational levels are required. Must be able to read and write.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to
finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms; stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or
crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is required to frequently move up to 100 pounds with assistance, and
routinely lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
Qualifications
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Unloads or loads trucks at dock.
• Sorts merchandise into containers for processing and sale.
• Sorts unsold merchandise into containers for post outlet disposition.
• Maintains a clean and safe working area.
• Cleans all areas of outlet store according to provided direction.
• Operates tipper machine.
• Obtains and maintains license to operate forklift and/or walk behind stacker.
• Complies with all agency policies, procedures and safety standards throughout work areas and
maintain same to meet CARF, Department of Labor and other regulatory standards.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Must have:
• Basic computer skills including use of various retail related systems, understanding of basic programs
(Microsoft Word), etc.
• Multi-cultural sensitivity: the ability to demonstrate a sensitivity and awareness of diversities in people and
cultures.
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, and have reliable transportation to and from work.

Our History:
Here in Lower South Carolina, your local Goodwill has been building better communities through the power of work since the 1970s. In 1974, a small group of local citizens raised concerns over the lack of opportunities for people with disabilities in the Charleston area. After five years of endless meetings and small fundraising activities, the group received a charter from Goodwill Industries International and the agency officially opened its doors on October 16, 1979, with the name Goodwill Industries of Lower South Carolina, Inc.
Since its inception, your local Goodwill has continued to provide services to individuals, businesses and organizations throughout the South Carolina. The community has supported Goodwill Industries with donations of goods, monetary contributions and by shopping in Goodwill retail stores. Because of this support, Goodwill’s mission of helping people achieve their full potential through the dignity and power of work is as relevant today as it was when Goodwill opened its doors in 1979.
