About Rainbow Greenhouses
Rainbow Greenhouses supplies national retailers and independent growers across North America with year-round live goods. With over 5 million sq. ft. of greenhouse space in BC and Alberta, we operate advanced, resource-efficient growing systems powered by skilled, hands-on teams. Our workforce scales seasonally from 500 to 1,000+ employees across multiple provinces. At Rainbow, we grow plants, people, and partnerships with long-term success in mind.
About the Opportunity
As a Program Manager, you’ll own the day-to-day execution and results of an outdoor program—managing inventory, orders, and cross-functional coordination across production, logistics, and merchandising.
This is a fast-paced, data-driven role where you’ll use sales trends, inventory, and weather to make real-time decisions on what ships, where, and when. We’re looking for someone who can take ownership, move quickly, and grow toward broader commercial responsibility. If you bring strong analytical skills and drive, we’ll invest in developing the rest.
Key Responsibilities
Own Program Execution
•Manage order writing and inventory allocation across assigned stores, accurately and on time
•Adjust distribution and reallocate inventory in response to sales trends, product readiness, and market conditions
•Ensure product ships accurately and on schedule, and oversee order and item administration end to end
Own the Numbers
•Track sales performance and identify top- and under-performing stores and products, and what's driving the difference
•Forecast and analyze seasonal performance, and support budget planning, margin targets, and profitability
•Maintain data accuracy and prepare sales reports that deliver insight, not just numbers
Make and Defend Commercial Decisions
•Make timely, well-reasoned allocation and replenishment decisions, and be able to explain them
•Anticipate conditions, act proactively during peak season, and raise opportunities to improve the program
Coordinate Across Departments
•Communicate proactively with cross-functional and partner teams, flagging issues early and supporting in-store resolution
•Manage downstream handoffs deliberately and build strong working relationships across the organization
Off-Season Planning
•Build forecasts and product flow plans, and review completed seasons to inform improvements
•Support the planning and preparation that positions the program for success
What You Bring
•Advanced Excel skills, including confident use of formulas, lookups, and cross-referencing across multiple sources (assessed as part of the interview process)
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the judgment to turn data into decisions
•Proven ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and explain your reasoning
•A strong sense of urgency, reliable follow-through, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
•Strong organizational skills and the ability to stay focused under pressure
•Post-secondary education or equivalent practical experience
Considered an Asset
•Experience in replenishment, inventory management, category management, or sales analysis
•Experience working with or supplying major retailers
•Experience with ERP or replenishment systems
What We Offer
•Competitive wages that reflect your experience and the work you bring
•Real growth opportunity - we are looking for someone who can grow with the program and into broader commercial responsibility
•Flexible benefits for full-time staff - choose the coverage that works for you
•RRSP matching to help you build toward your future
•Belong to one of Western Canada's largest greenhouses - join a high-performing team in a fast-moving environment

We're a full-service horticultural producer delivering live plants and value-added solutions to major retailers and independent partners across Western Canada and the Northwestern United States.
Rainbow started in 1985 as a family-led greenhouse guided by the Vander Waal's commitment to quality, relationships, and long-term growth. Today, with the confidence of our retail partners, the dedication of our teams, and the continued support of our customers, we continue to expand our operations.
We produce ornamental annuals, perennials, tropical foliage, indoor flowering plants, vegetable starters, and cut flowers on a commercial scale, using advanced systems across every stage of production. Spanning more than five million square feet of growing space in British Columbia and Alberta, our teams combine decades of horticultural expertise with precision systems that emphasize efficiency and deliver consistent results at scale.
We continue to innovate through automation, fertigation, and integrated pest management practices. These advancements help us support our teams, protect resources, and deliver high-quality plants year-round. Every system, from propagation and cultivation to distribution and merchandising, has been refined to provide our retail partners with a complete, full-service approach.
Our mission is to grow opportunities for plants, people, and partnerships. That means cultivating careers, building trusted relationships, and maintaining practices that strengthen both our operations and the resources we depend on.
Rainbow’s people-centered culture reflects our GRIT values: Go for it, Rise to the challenge, Improve every day, and Tackle it together. Across all facilities, we’re focused on continuous improvement, shared success, and advancing modern horticulture through efficiency and teamwork.
