Job Description

The Team

This role sits within Commercial Growth - Adjacent Revenue and works as part of a cross-functional squad. You will partner closely with your squad leader and colleagues across operations, analytics and sales, while also working with broader product and strategy stakeholders to drive growth outcomes for SEEK.

The Role

8-month fixed term opportunity.

As an Outbound Sales Representative, you'll turn customer interest into real conversations and new business. Using behavioural and intent signals, you'll spot when a hirer needs casual or temporary labour and reach out at just the right moment. You'll use sharp questioning and qualification skills to spark interest in Sidekicker, confirm fit, and guide customers from sign-up to their first successful job post and completed shift.

This role suits someone commercially minded, curious, and resilient, who thrives on fast-paced work, experimentation, and continuous improvement. You'll help shape how SEEK builds a smarter, signal-driven approach to outbound sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage outbound leads and use thoughtful questioning to validate current hiring need, urgency, frequency and fit for Sidekicker.
  • Qualify prospects effectively and build interest by positioning the value of Sidekicker in a way that is relevant to the customer’s hiring context.
  • Convert qualified interest into action by supporting account registration, initial setup and first job or shift posting.
  • Close sales through clear next steps and strong follow-through, with success ultimately measured through successful customer activation and completed shifts.
  • Work across different lead cohorts including adapting your outreach and pitch to the customer pain point.
  • Maintain strong CRM and process discipline, including accurate logging of lead type, outcome, next step, objections and qualitative feedback.
  • Feed customer insight back into the squad to improve targeting, talk tracks, qualification criteria, proposition and process design over time.
  • Collaborate closely with squad leader, ops and analytics to support a high-quality, repeatable sales motion and strong experiment execution.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in outbound phone sales, business development, inside sales or a similar customer-facing commercial role.
  • Strong discovery, questioning and objection handling skills, with the ability to influence customers and move conversations toward a clear next step.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-changing environment, adapt quickly and use feedback to improve performance and process.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and confidence working across phone, email and CRM-based workflows. Experience with Salesforce and/or Hubspot is a bonus.
  • A customer-centric mindset combined with commercial curiosity and a strong drive to create value.
  • Comfortable using technology and moving between systems, tools and products as part of your daily workflow.
  • A collaborative working style, with the ability to contribute positively within a cross-functional squad environment.
  • Experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, staffing, marketplace sales or related industries is highly regarded but not essential.
