They coordinate with shipping carriers, negotiate contracts, and monitor performance to meet delivery deadlines and cost targets. Additionally, they may analyze data to improve logistics processes, enhance customer satisfaction, and support overall supply chain efficiency.
What you will do?
• Optimize transportation to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of goods from distribution centers to customers and retailers.
• Meet delivery targets by maintaining high on-time delivery performance and ensuring compliance with customer expectations and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Identify opportunities to reduce logistics costs by streamlining processes, negotiating favorable contracts with carriers, and minimizing transportation and handling expenses.
• Enhance customer satisfaction by ensuring accurate and timely deliveries, resolving logistics-related issues promptly, and providing reliable shipment tracking and communication.
• Collaborate with inventory teams to maintain optimal inventory levels at distribution centers while minimizing stockouts and excess inventory.
• Leverage technology, including Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and analytics tools, to optimize routing, improve visibility, and monitor logistics performance.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards, environmental requirements, and company policies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process improvement opportunities, implementing best practices, and enhancing operational efficiency across outbound logistics.
What are we looking for?
• 3+ years of experience in Outbound Logistics within a fast-paced warehouse environment, with a strong focus on inventory management and item receiving
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Advanced English.
• Master's degree is a plus.
• Advanced Excel
Preferred Knowledge
• Logistics and Supply Chain Management: Strong understanding of logistics principles, supply chain dynamics, and best practices in outbound transportation and distribution.
• Transportation Management: Expertise in managing transportation modes (road, rail, air, and sea) and selecting the most appropriate carriers based on cost, reliability, and service requirements.
• Warehousing and Distribution: Knowledge of warehouse operations, distribution center management, inventory control, and order fulfillment processes.
• Regulatory Compliance: Understanding of transportation regulations, customs procedures, and compliance requirements for domestic and international shipments.
• Technology and Systems: Proficiency in Transportation Management Systems (TMS), ERP systems, and other logistics technology tools for route optimization, shipment tracking, and performance management.
• Risk Management: Ability to identify logistics risks (e.g., supply chain disruptions and security issues) and implement mitigation strategies.
• Customer Service and Relationship Management: Experience managing customer expectations, resolving logistics-related issues, and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Cost Management: Experience optimizing logistics costs, negotiating freight rates, and implementing cost-saving initiatives without compromising service levels.
• Continuous Improvement: Ability to analyze logistics data, identify improvement opportunities, and implement initiatives that increase operational efficiency.
• Environmental and Sustainability Awareness: Knowledge of sustainability initiatives in logistics, including transportation optimization to reduce environmental impact.
