This is a permanent, full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm

Salary: $48,000 - $52,000

Preference will be given to candidates possessing Brokerage experience and salary will be adjusted accordingly.

The purpose of this position is to broker out all freight that is moving from Canada to the USA.

BROKER OUT FREIGHT:

• Broker out all orders that pick up in Canada and the USA.

• Negotiate spot quotes with carriers that meet or exceed Vision’s standard mark up.

• Ensure the customer’s service requirements are being met by the chosen carrier.

• Advise customers with various options for service levels vs prices.

• Process documentation for each shipment and handle any issues that come up with the carrier directly.

• Working with dispatch and dock team to communicate shipment activity/status.

• Problem solving needed to ensure the freight gets from shipper to receiver in a timely manner.

• After hours calls for trouble shooting of brokered orders.

ADMINISTRATION:

• Monitor communication group email boxes operations@visiontrans.com , and ensure items are being addressed in a timely manner, including other communication platforms such as Gmail, TruckMate, etc.

• Set up load confirmations and ensure all information is received with accurate appointment, rates, and PO#’s. Update revised load confirmations as they are received.

• Assign emails to corresponding teammate, as required.

• Ensure records and systems are updated, as related to area of responsibility to ensure all business intelligence remains accurate and current.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE:

• 3-5 years of relevant logistics experience

SYSTEMS:

• Google Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, etc.)

• TruckMate (TMW)
