310T TRUCK & COACH TECHNICIAN

Location (West): Location (East) 145 Walgreen Rd, Carp, Ontario 1815 Bantree St, Ottawa, Ontario
Position Type: Permanent Full-Time
Reporting to: Shop Foreperson
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6am to 3pm.
Pay Rate: $45.96 per hour (Licensed base rate)

The 310T Truck & Coach Technician at Miller Waste Systems is responsible for maintaining and repairing company vehicles in compliance with safety, ministry, and company standards. This includes diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, performing road tests and service calls, and ensuring accurate maintenance records to support safe and reliable fleet operations.

Responsibilities:
In the position of 310T Truck & Coach Technician. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Must comply with company safety protocols and have a strong understanding of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
• The maintenance and repair of all company vehicles in accordance with ministry and company standards.
• The role involves the repair and road-testing of equipment, including hydraulic and electrical systems, along with performing general shop maintenance tasks.
• You will be responsible for performing vehicle maintenance in compliance with the company’s policies and procedures.
• Ensure to keep accurate and up-to-date files on all vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair activities.
• Provide on-road support and perform service calls as necessary.

Competencies & Qualifications:
• Successful candidates must hold and maintain a valid 310T Truck & Coach Technician's Licence, along with any other required licenses.
• Must have at least a valid 'G' Driver’s Licence.
• You will possess the expertise to diagnose and resolve faults efficiently, as well as have hands-on experience in repairing and maintaining both hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Your ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, along with your capability to work effectively within a team, is essential.
• You must be flexible and available to work late when there are delays in the truck schedule.
• Working holidays and weekends is occasionally required.
