Job Description

Your Contribution

  • Drive performance improvement of defined Commodity in Japan
  • Lead Purchasing activities in defined commodity together with Commodity Buyers in other Japan countries
  • Monitor supplier capabilities and market trends in Japan
  • Manage and align Supplier Panel with Global Commodity Buyer
  • Develop Material Purchasing strategies
  • Join supplier nomination of key projects
  • Conduct annual supplier negotiation to achieve saving target
  • Take Supply Chain Risk management
  • Follow Contract Management guideline
  • Promote supplier transfer to LCC
  • Support new project launch in Japan
  • Support escalations from other functions like Plant, Supplier Quality, Logistics, etc.
  • Other individual tasks from the superior

Your Experience & Qualifications

  • University Bachelor degree or above
  • 3+ years in Purchasing/Buyer experience is mandatory
  • Purchasing/Buyer experience in Polymer is a plus
  • Working knowledge of business systems (SAP etc)
  • Experience in Automotive or Manufacturing industry is a plus
  • Experience in global company is a plus
  • Fluent in both English and Japanese
