Job Description

The Order to Remittance (OTR) Configuration Management (CM) organization is responsible for transforming product requirements as well as engineering design intent into actionable product definition. The OTR CM organization is focused on the creation & maintenance of the project hardware / document structures and Bill of Materials (BOM) for New Unit Requisitions from Order Release through the equipment’s Commercial Operation Date (COD), in addition to supporting Conversion, Modification and Uprate (CMU) projects. This product definition includes logical (BOM) structures and the interrelated master data essential to the project execution.

Through utilization of our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) space, we can deliver on-time and quality product definition to supply chain functions globally as well as receive in return technical documentation for outsourced designs. Gas Power is obligated to receive detailed design information from suppliers to support internal interface analysis, customer obligations, service records to maintain the equipment for the life of the power plant and technical compliance related documentation that demonstrates adherence to normative standards. Gas Power end customers are also partners and consumers of this CM output.

This position is for OTR Project Documentation Structuring Configuration Manager within Gas Power’s Engineering tool set related to the execution of project in partnership with related stakeholders (all Product Lines), the definition of timing for receipt of technical documentation for outsourced designs, the creation & maintenance of storage structure within our PLM, the day to day troubleshooting over the different integrated collaboration tools, the creation of specific BOM to cover documentation advance purchase orders.

Roles and Responsibilities

The OTR Project Documentation Structuring Configuration Manager is responsible for generating and managing New Unit & CMU requisitions’ project Documentation structures for Aero and HD products.

Specifically, this position is responsible for the following tasks:

o Based upon available inputs, create project documentation top level structures (Project Doc Catalog) and Document BOM (Doc Items) in our PLM through loader capability or manual creation.

o Providing for digitized due date transformation into Engineering (P6 – Primavera) project schedules and Supplier Technical Collaboration (STC) project target dates. Executing STC Supplier Delivarable setup before initial PO placement.

o Whenever applicable, setup Project Documentation Structure in PTS Customer Collaboration Tool to ensure appropriate mapping is existing with PLM Project Doc Catalog.

o Whenever applicable, create and maintain Non-Recurrent Engineering (NRE) Unit BOMs in our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool along with the push to PowerMax ERP system to support project early execution.

o Providing support to problem solving across the documentation management process lifecycle & technical consultation (in processes and tools) to cross-functional teams throughout the business to resolve issues. It includes closing internal customers’ requests for support issued into our PLM system through Data Change Workflows (DCW).

o Execute Doc CM’s role and responsibilities in Doc Catalog Change Management processes. It includes Doc Catalog modifications, Doc Items creations/deletions/updates, STC date matrix update, Scheduling issue creation to impact Eng Schedule milestone impacts.

o Support Kaizen & Gemba events if required, review Standard Work & quality documents, procedures, and work instructions to provide comment to team leaders.

o Propose requirements for process & IT tools enhancement to team leaders to eliminate wastes and increase team productivity. Support testing and implementation when appropriate.

Required Qualifications

o Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science or experience in Engineering Design / Product Configuration Management.

o Experience in process use and development with regards to documentation requirements, Bill of Material management, configuration management concepts, program/project scheduling and change management as they relate to Gas Power products and services.

o Demonstrated change management experience within Gas Power organization, proficient in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) GTCC tool

o Understanding of PLM – STC concepts and objects, Supplier Deliverables, Supplier Deliverable Templates, Technical Definition Packages, STC* “Folders”.

o CMPIC or CMII certified (Configuration Management External Certification)

o ISO 9001:2015 familiarity
