Operational Technology (OT) Security Specialist - Operations & Supply – VELUX
Join Technology Support, part of Supply Technology Center in the Technical Services organization. This is a growth position and a unique opportunity to influence and drive the OT Security agenda in an international context. You will be a key player in our OT Security department within Technology Support and some of your core responsibilities are, among others, to utilize your technical expertise to support global functions and production facilities to ensure a secure and continuous operation of Industrial Automation and Control Systems within a digitized and automated infrastructure.
You will report into Christian Jakobsen, who is heading Technology Support, and you will preferably be based at our location in either Østbirk or Skjern where the rest of your colleagues are located.
Your challenges
Technology Support consists of Production Technology Innovation (PTI), Technology Standards & Sustainability, OT Security, Simulation and TC Machine Support, and you will be a part of the OT Security team together with one other colleague located in Østbirk, Denmark.

In this role your key tasks will be to
Bridge the gap between IT&DE and O&S OT teams, understanding the goals and limitations of both sides to ensure security measures remain operationally feasible.
Develop and implement OT Cyber Security policies, procedures and standards, mitigating risks, and strengthening cybersecurity measures to safeguard critical OT environments against potential disruptions caused by cyber-attacks, system breakdowns, or vulnerabilities.
Provide technical expertise, drive security initiatives, and foster collaboration across business functions and teams to maintain system integrity, reduce risk exposure, and ensure business continuity in alignment with organizational standards and objectives.
Together with colleagues across different functions work on defining the general architectural framework in the O&S OT Security Backup/Restore & Asset Management Platforms.
Take part in development and implementation of effective contingency plans and tools to enhance the resilience of the OT environment, ensuring operational continuity during cyber-attacks or major breakdowns.
Provide direction and support in the execution of OT security-related deliverables in production technology investment projects, ensuring adherence to OT Security requirements.
Work collaboratively with technical teams to help identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions to uphold system integrity across operational activities in our productions.
Help embed an OT security assessment framework, which will support technical teams in analyzing risk exposure, proactively identifying gaps and driving mitigation actions to address findings.
Track and document on risk mitigation efforts, providing regular overview for colleagues.
Qualifications:
B.Sc. or M.Sc within Industrial Automation Engineering, Robotics, IT/OT Infrastructure or other relevant technical engineering background with profound knowledge within Industrial Automation and OT environments.
Preferably, but not a requirement, 2–3 years of experience from a similar role.
Strong analytical skills, knowledge and understanding of OT Systems and Protocols, Cybersecurity fundamentals and associated frameworks (e.g., IEC 62443), Network Security for OT environments, Risk Assessment & Analysis, Secure Configuration Management, Remote Access solutions for OT environments.
Hands-on experience with running and troubleshooting industrial systems in real-world scenarios is considered a plus, but not a requirement.
Proficiency in English is a requirement; proficiency in Danish is considered a plus, but not a requirement in this role.

You should expect domestic and international travel can occur in this position, approximately 10–25 per year.
