Job

Summary


The
OSP Manager is responsible for the planning, deployment, maintenance, and optimization
of outside plant telecommunications infrastructure, including fiber optic and copper
networks. The role ensures the network is built and maintained to quality,
safety, cost, and timeline standards while supporting service reliability and
expansion objectives.


Key

Responsibilities


  • Plan, design,
    and oversee construction of OSP infrastructure (fiber, ducts, poles, cabinets).

  • Manage
    FTTH/FTTx, backbone, access, and metro network rollout projects.

  • Coordinate
    surveys, route planning, and right-of-way acquisition.

  • Manage
    contractors, vendors, budgets, timelines, and BOQs.

  • Oversee
    preventive and corrective maintenance of OSP assets.

  • Lead fault
    resolution and emergency restorations.

  • Ensure
    compliance with safety, quality, and telecom regulations.

  • Maintain
    accurate as-built drawings and GIS documentation.

  • Prepare
    performance, KPI, and project reports.

  • Field-based
    role with frequent site visits.

  • On-call
    support for network emergencies.

  • Travel within
    assigned region.


Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical, or Civil
    Engineering.

  • 7–10 years telecom OSP experience; 3–5 years in management.

  • Strong knowledge of fiber deployment, splicing, and testing.

  • Experience with FTTH/FTTx projects.

  • Leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
