OSHC Service Manager – Make a Difference Every Day

We’re looking for an experienced and passionate OSHC Service Manager to lead one of our services across South Brisbane and surrounding locations, including Runcorn, Waterford West, Spring Mountain (Springfield), Moorooka, Yeronga, Norman Park, Bay View and Scenic Shores (Redland Bay).

As an OSHC Service Manager, you’ll be at the heart of your service — leading a team of educators, building strong relationships with families and schools, and creating an environment where children feel safe, heard and excited to belong.

You’ll bring your leadership experience, initiative and passion for quality to:

• Lead and inspire your team to deliver engaging, inclusive and high-quality OSHC experiences.
• Build a strong service culture where educators feel supported, valued and empowered to do their best work.
• Create meaningful connections with children, families, school partners and the wider community.
• Drive quality and continuous improvement, using the My Time, Our Place Framework to guide your service.
• Champion child safety, wellbeing and inclusion, ensuring safeguarding remains at the centre of everything you do.
• Oversee the day-to-day operation of your service, including staffing, programming, compliance and service administration.
• Build enrolments and strengthen family engagement, helping your service grow and thrive.
• Coach and develop your team, encouraging reflection, professional growth and confidence.
• Work collaboratively with Jabiru leaders and support teams to achieve great outcomes for your service and community.

You’re someone who can bring a team together, build trust and create an environment where educators want to do their best work. You’re confident making decisions, solving problems and navigating the everyday challenges that come with leading an OSHC service.

You’ll bring:

• Experience in OSHC, early childhood, education or a related sector, with experience leading or coordinating a team.
• Strong understanding of OSHC operations, compliance and the National Quality Framework.
• A genuine commitment to child safety, inclusion and children’s voice.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to coach, support and motivate educators with different strengths and experiences.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A positive, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to take initiative.
• A commitment to reflective practice, continuous improvement and creating great experiences for children and families.

What you’ll need

• A relevant Diploma or higher qualification, or a qualification recognised by ACECQA as meeting the requirements for the role.
• Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
• Current First Aid and CPR, or willingness to obtain.
• Relevant experience in an OSHC, early childhood, education or community setting.
• Demonstrated leadership or team coordination experience.
