About the Role

Child Australia is looking for an experienced Leader to join our passionate team at Lockridge Campus. This role sits within our Out of School Care service in the heart of Lockridge. Its close proximity to Lockridge Primary School strengthens our community connections.

In your role, you’ll create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for children, building trusting relationships with children and their families. You will develop the educational program, lead the team and support the day-to-day running of the service.

This is a part time role, that requires flexibility to work full time in the school holidays.

Our centre operates from Monday to Friday

Before School Care: 7:00am to 9:30am

After School Care: 2:30pm to 6:00pm

Vacation care 7:00am to 6:00pm.

What You’ll Do

  • Plan and deliver educational programs aligned with the National Quality Standards.
  • Create engaging and inclusive learning environments.
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, and the community.
  • Collaborate with your team to provide high-quality care.
  • Act as the Responsible Person when required.

What You’ll Need

  • Experience working with groups of children in an OSHC setting, youth work, social work or similar.
  • Qualifications in Out of School Care qualification, Early Childhood Teaching, Primary School Teaching, Social Work, Youth Work, Fitness and Recreation (or working towards).
  • Willingness to obtain a certification in out of school hours care, early learning or similar.
  • Experience in programming or willingness to upskill.
  • Previous experience as a Responsible Person.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • National Police Clearance issued within the last 6 months (required before starting).
