We're looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Director / Coordinator (2IC) to support the OSHC Director in delivering an outstanding Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care program. In this role you will:
- Support the Director in the day-to-day operation of the service.
- Assist in planning and implementing engaging, child-led programs that foster children's wellbeing, learning and development.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, educators and the school community.
- Take a leadership role within the team and confidently oversee the service in the Director's absence.
- Assist with compliance, documentation, rostering, bookings and administrative tasks.
- Help create a safe, welcoming and Christ-centred environment where children are encouraged to explore, belong and thrive.
We will consider both full-time and part-time applicants, with an immediate start available for the right candidate.
Requirements
About you
- You hold (or are working towards) a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent approved qualification.
- You have experience in an OSHC or Early Childhood setting, with demonstrated leadership capability.
- You are organised, proactive and able to support the smooth operation of a busy service.
- You have excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- You hold current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications (or are willing to obtain them).
- You hold a current paid Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
- You have sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework, My Time, Our Place and relevant legislation.
- You're confident using technology and online management systems.
- You're a collaborative team player with a servant heart and vibrant Christian faith.
