Position: OSHC Assistant Coordinator

Contract: Permanent Full Time Flexible

Start date: Negotiable

Hours: Monday – Friday

About the Role:

We seek to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated OSHC Assistant Coordinator to support the effective delivery of our Outside School Hours Care programs. Working closely with the OSHC Coordinator, this role plays a key part in supporting staff, ensuring high-quality programming, maintaining safe and compliant environments, and fostering positive relationships with children, families and wider school community. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced OSHC educator ready to step into a supportive leadership role grounded in Montessori values and best practice frameworks.

To be successful, you will have:

• Support the development, implementation and evaluation of high-quality educational and developmental programs aligns with My Time Our Place and Montessori philosophy.
• Assist with program planning, implementation and evaluation to meet the needs of all children.
• Support educators to engage in reflective practice and Quality Improvement Planning (QIP)
• Assist with staffing coordination, rosters and supervision ratios to ensure compliance at all times.
• Support staff induction, mentoring and professional development activities.
• Assist with risk assessments for excursions/ incursions and support WHS and child-safe compliance.
• Help maintain safe, organised and welcoming OSHC environments.
• Support food safety practices, incident reporting and administrative requirements.
• Promote positive relationships with children, families and colleagues, recognising parents as co-educators.
• Ensure children's safety, supervision and wellbeing at all times.
• A collaborative approach, contributing positively to team culture, engaging in reflective practice and participating in planning sessions and professional learning.
• A commitment to modelling professionalism, confidentiality, and respect in all interactions.
• An understanding of the school’s vision, objectives and workplace values.

What you bring:

• Minimum Diploma or Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
• Minimum three years’ experience in an OSHC setting role.
• A current Childcare First Aid & CPR certificate or willingness to obtain.
• A current Blue Card Exemption or willingness to obtain prior to starting.
• Registration with PRODA and eligible to act as Nominated Supervisor and Responsible Person or willingness to apply.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the NQF, NQS and My Time, Our Place framework
• A commitment to reflective practice, continuous improvement, and a collaborative team culture.
