The District Special Education Coordinator of Compliance & Supports will develop and supervise district-wide special education compliance practices as well as the support provided to both staff and students in the special and general education environments. The coordinator duties include crafting school-based procedures for all meeting compliance, developing student summer programming , and supervision of paraprofessional training and allocations. The coordinator designs, coordinates, and/or provides training, planning and facilitating of material orders.

This is a full time position, requiring regular reliable and predictable attendance on site to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of administrators and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
