
Fort HealthCare's Department of Orthopedics seeks a full-time Orthopedic Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. Working with a collegial group of three Orthopedic surgeons and one Physician Assistant in a state of the art hospital, the PA or NP manages patients under the clinical guidance and supervision of the orthopedic surgeons. There is the opportunity to work independently in the clinical and hospital setting, while also assisting the surgeons in surgery.

Requirements: PA; Bachelor's Degree. Must be a graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program. Must take and pass a National Certification examination. Complete 100 hours of CME every two years; take and pass the national recertification exam every ten years. Maintain Wisconsin license upon hire; re-licensure as needed. PA-C, prescriptive authority. NP; Registered Nurse with current Wisconsin license upon hire; APNP certification, prescriptive authority; BLS certification. For both PA & NP-Surgical knowledge preferred, one to two years' experience in an operating room setting is preferred, but not mandatory. If a new graduate, we are happy to train the right candidate.
