Job Description

Meet Dr. Craig S. Radnay, MD, MPH

Under the supervision of Dr. Radnay, Florida Orthopaedic Institute is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to support a high-volume orthopaedic practice with a focus on foot, ankle, and knee conditions. This role is designed for a clinically confident PA who brings both surgical and clinic experience and is comfortable managing patient care with increasing autonomy.

The PA will play a critical role in maintaining clinic flow, managing patient volume, and ensuring continuity of care across the patient journey. This position includes a structured onboarding and training period, with the expectation that the PA will transition into a high level of independence in the clinic setting once fully ramped.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced orthopaedic PA seeking a long-term role within a collaborative, physician-led practice that values clinical ownership, efficiency, and strong patient relationships.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current Florida licensure as a Physician Assistant
  • NCCPA certification required
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of orthopaedic experience strongly preferred
  • Required: Experience in both clinical and surgical orthopaedic settings
  • Preferred: Experience with foot, ankle, and/or knee conditions
  • Demonstrated ability to manage patients independently in a high-volume clinic environment
  • Experience with injections and in-office orthopaedic procedures
  • Strong clinical judgment, efficiency, and patient communication skills
  • BLS required (ACLS preferred)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive patient care in both clinic and surgical settings, including pre-operative and post-operative management
  • Conduct detailed patient histories, physical exams, and orthopaedic evaluations with a focus on foot, ankle, and knee conditions
  • Independently manage clinic schedules following training, including new patient visits, follow-ups, and post-operative care
  • Review and interpret diagnostic imaging, including X-rays, MRI, and CT scans
  • Perform in-office procedures and injections (foot, ankle, knee, and other joints as appropriate)
  • Serve as first assist in the operating room, including surgical exposure, assistance, and closure
  • Participate in post-operative rounds and care coordination as needed
  • Field patient calls and address clinical concerns in collaboration with the physician and care team
  • Apply and remove splints, braces, boots, and other orthopaedic devices
  • Accurately document all encounters, procedures, and treatment plans in the EMR
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, rehabilitation protocols, and post-operative care
  • Collaborate closely with clinical staff and administrative teams to ensure efficient clinic operations
  • Adhere to FOI standards related to patient safety, professionalism, and quality of care
  • Participate in ongoing education, training, and professional development activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support practice needs

What We Offer

  • Full-time employment with long-term growth potential
  • Competitive compensation with opportunities for productivity-based incentives
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Supportive, collaborative work environment within a high-performing orthopaedic practice
