$59.00 - $88.50

This position offers a high level of autonomy, strong physician mentorship, and the opportunity to develop specialized orthopaedic trauma expertise within one of the region's leading trauma programs.

Position Highlights

• Full-time, 1.0 FTE position
• Dedicated night-shift schedule: 6:00 PM – 8:00 AM
• Inpatient orthopaedic trauma practice
• Level I Trauma Center environment
• Work directly with four Orthopaedic Trauma fellowship-trained physicians
• Collaborative team of experienced Advanced Practice Providers
• High degree of clinical autonomy with structured support and education
• Comprehensive procedural training provided
• Hospital-based practice with no call requirements outside scheduled shifts

Essential Responsibilities

• Evaluate, assess, and manage orthopaedic trauma patients in the inpatient setting
• Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
• Respond to orthopaedic trauma consults and patient care needs during overnight hours
• Assist in the management of fractures, musculoskeletal injuries, and post-operative patients
• Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic studies
• Perform procedures within scope of practice and according to departmental training and competency standards
• Coordinate care with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members
• Document patient encounters, treatment plans, and procedural notes in the electronic medical record
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental educational activities
• Ensure compliance with organizational, state, and federal regulatory requirements

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program

Certification & Licensure

• NCCPA certification required
• Eligible for or currently holding a Georgia Physician Assistant license
• DEA certification or eligibility, if applicable
• BLS and ACLS certifications required or obtained within organizational guidelines

Experience

• New graduates are encouraged to apply
• Previous orthopaedic, surgical, emergency medicine, trauma, or inpatient experience preferred but not required
