What you will do

Sydney Adventist Hospital is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified Orthopaedic Registrars to provide annual leave cover for a short-term direct contract opportunity.

Position Details

Role: Orthopaedic Registrar (Direct Contractor)
Dates: 28 September to 9 October 2026
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm (30 min unpaid meal break)
Location: Sydney Adventist Hospital
Rate: $110 per hour

What You Will Do

  • Provide annual leave cover for our Orthopaedic Registrar.
  • Support the Orthopaedic service alongside an Intern.
  • Participate in the day-to-day management of orthopaedic inpatients and clinical activities.
  • Work collaboratively with consultants and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.

Essential Qualifications and Requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent qualification, with a minimum of three years post-graduate experience (preferably orthopaedic experience)
  • Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident currently residing in Australia.
  • Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
  • Demonstrated effective clinical and interpersonal communication skills, including strong written and verbal communication.
  • Competency in the use of information technology and electronic medical records.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
