Job Description

As an independent energy company, ENERTRAG generates electricity, hydrogen, and heat exclusively from renewable sources and supplies safe, inexpensive renewable energy to end-customers from residential, and commercial to heavy industry.

The Origination & Customer Solutions Coordinator is responsible for establishing and operating ENERTRAG South Africa’s front office capability for the C&I portfolio supply model. The role converts customer demand into qualified opportunities, structured solution briefs, standardised proposals and coordinated commercial handovers, while ensuring customer-facing commitments remain aligned to technical supply assessments, AEP confidence levels, grid access, sequencing constraints, pricing, credit and contracting guardrails. During the initial build phase, the role will shadow the external Go-to-Market Project Manager and support the development of the operating rhythm, tools, interfaces and customer narrative assets. Once the go-to-market plan transitions into implementation, the role becomes accountable for the front office execution rhythm, pipeline discipline, proposal coordination and opportunity-level assumptions governance. The role serves as the single point of coordination for customer-related inputs across Finance, Technical/Engineering, Development and Execution, Legal, Regulatory, Government and Industry Relations, and route-to-market partners, enabling repeatable, financeable and credible customer solutioning.

Qualifications

  • Qualification

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Commerce, Economics, Finance, Energy, Business, Project Management or equivalent (NQF Level 7)

  • Field of Study
    • Engineering.
  • Type of Training
    • Postgraduate qualification in Energy, Commerce, Finance, Business, Infrastructure, Project Management or equivalent (NQF Level 8 or 9)
  • Relevant Professional Experience
    • Commercial, project management, energy markets, financial modelling or proposal development training advantageous.
    • C&I portfolio supply models
    • Renewable energy and electricity market context
    • PPA and wheeling concepts
    • Customer solutioning and proposal development
    • Commercial and financeability principles
    • Grid, AEP and assumptions governance
    • Stakeholder and partner interfaces
  • Legal Requirements (e.g. Driver’s License, etc.)
    • Valid driver’s license

    • Ability to travel locally for customer meetings, internal workshops, partner engagements and stakeholder sessions as required.

  • Experience

    • 3 years' experience in commercial, project execution, commercial PMO, energy services, infrastructure, consulting, customer solutions or proposal coordination roles.

    • Experience should include structured written outputs, cross-functional delivery, deadline management, customer-facing engagement and coordination of inputs across technical, finance, legal and operational stakeholders.

    • 2 Years exposure to renewable energy, C&I supply, PPAs, wheeling concepts, route-to-market partners, energy contracting, financial or commercial modelling, CRM/pipeline management, proposal development, or go-to-market implementation in a developing business environment. ​​​​​
  • IT Knowledge (systems, software, ...)
    • Proficiency in MS-Office (Excel, Power Point, Word) as well as Professional knowledge in operating such software tools.
