Northrop Grumman is seeking a Senior Director, Organization Effectiveness (OE) for the Corporate Office. This strategic role balances the execution of enterprise talent strategies and customized talent solutions for the Corporate Office leaders and employees. In this role, the leader will work closely with C-suite Executives and Vice Presidents in the Functional Organizations to design and deliver innovative and drive effective solutions in several areas: organization transformation, organization design, strategic change management, talent management and development. This role partners with the Human Resources Senior Leadership Team to execute in each of these areas.

This full-time position reports to the Vice President, Human Resources for Corporate and will require a strong presence in Falls Church, VA in a hybrid model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a high-performing team of Senior Organization Effectiveness consultants who deliver leadership, change management, succession and talent management and organization design and transformation solutions.
  • Act as a liaison to the enterprise talent team to shape the company approach to talent and organization effectiveness and implement supporting programs and processes as needed in the business.
  • Lead functional transformation efforts to drive clarity, collaboration, consistency and criteria to implement for multiple organizations.
  • Champion digital transformation and adoption of enterprise-wide OE systems, tools, and processes to support the business.
  • Design and deliver leadership effectiveness strategies to support leader transitions and enablement
  • Shape and drive the culture agenda, translating enterprise values and leadership expectations into practical behaviors, expectations, and systems embedded in day-to-day work.
  • Advise senior leaders on organizational transformations through design, structure, and role clarity to align capabilities and resources with strategic objectives.
  • Facilitate design sessions and working sessions to align leadership teams on strategy, operating model, and organizational priorities.
  • Design and manage the corporate talent management, succession and talent development strategy. Align key leadership development plans to organizational outcomes that build capability and competency.
  • Assess organizational challenges in partnership with HR and design and implement comprehensive solutions to enhance performance.
  • Design and facilitate leadership and team engagements, training, and other key learning experiences.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required plus 12 years of relevant experience in HR or related field OR Master’s degree plus 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent leadership skills to drive high team engagement and performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with senior leaders and influence across boundaries to drive strategy and approach.
  • Advanced consulting skills with the demonstrated ability to scope problems, recommend practical solutions, gain stakeholder buy-in, and deliver desired results.
  • Exceptional communication skills to influence and shape stakeholder adoption
  • Demonstrated experience leading organizational interventions from assessment to implementation.
  • Broad experience applying best practices in organization, team and leadership effectiveness to address business issues and enhance performance.
  • Experience leading large-scale change initiatives to support business strategy.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and facilitating leadership and team engagements to meet client objectives.
  • Strong business acumen with a focus on how to use talent processes and tools to accelerate business results.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to effectively manage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for learning and flexibility to manage multiple projects/clients simultaneously, mitigate and escalate risk, adapt to shifting priorities, and navigate ambiguous situations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Organization Development or related field.
  • Certificate in coaching or certified executive coach.
  • Prior experience as an internal or external consultant in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Prior experience in Human Resources, Organization Effectiveness or Talent Management roles.
  • Prior experience with and/or certifications in common assessments and models related to organization development and leadership and team effectiveness.

Primary Level Salary Range: $220,100.00 - $330,100.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
