  • Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, and hybrid ways of working

RMIT is seeking an experienced Change Manager to support a key initiative within the Student Experience Tapestry program — a major transformation that brings together multiple student‑facing systems and processes to create a more connected, seamless experience.

The project is focused on unifying how we capture, manage, and apply communication choices across the university (e.g. Prospective Students, and Alumni). Today, these settings are dispersed across systems and teams; this initiative will replace existing processes with a single, enterprise‑wide capability that applies consistent rules, improves data quality, and captures and honours customer choices across all relevant engagement points. The project will reduce manual operational effort, uplift compliance, and enable a more personalised communication experience.

As Change Manager, you will lead and deliver the end-to-end change approach, shaping the engagement, readiness, and adoption strategy. You’ll work closely with project team and stakeholders to ensure staff understand the new model, how to use it, and feel confident transitioning to an automated, governed processes.

You will be tasked with:

·Consolidate and maintain program‑wide stakeholder matrices and engagement plans

·Identify join‑up opportunities, overlaps, and dependencies across the program

·Contribute to consistent and streamlined communication and messaging across the program

·Align timelines, activities, and change artefacts with other Program Organisational Change Managers

·Identify opportunities to reduce duplication and improve efficiency across change delivery

·Experience in managing change in complex, ambiguous, dynamic environments.

·Experience in developing and implementing OCM strategy for projects.

·Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, facilitation and relationship skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders and develop effective relationships with diverse staff at all levels.

·Excellent communication skills both written and verbal: ability to articulate messages to a variety of audiences and all organisational levels, including executive level.

·Outstanding planning and organisation skills along with outstanding levels of productivity in terms of attention to detail, accuracy, time management and speed.

·Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, own tasks/deadlines, take accountability for delivering quality outcomes, manage priorities, and adapt to moving timeframes.

Desirable:

·Exposure to tertiary education sector.

·Experience in OCM delivery for technology/innovation projects.

·People management skills, including experience in coaching other staff.

·Degree in Information Technology, and/or related Vendor Certifications.
