Location: Kingston

Purpose of the Role
Unilever is reshaping how it operates — across GBS, Supply Chain & Operations, and through major M&As. This role sits at the heart of that change. You'll design the organizational structures, roles, and workforce plans that make transformation real — bringing clarity to complexity and ensuring our teams are set up to deliver in an increasingly AI-enabled world.

Key Responsibilities

1. Organization Design – Supply Chain & Ops, GBS
•Own end-to-end org design for 1-2 GBS value streams (Forecast to Report, Source to Pay etc.) or Supply Chain & Ops functional programs (Customer Operations, GDT, Procurement etc.).
•Design target operating models that simplify structures, reduce layers, and enable scalable delivery across markets interlocking with Intelligent GBS processes.
•Optimize spans of control and reporting lines, benchmarking against best-in-class global standards.
•Align all design work to Mirai, Intelligent GBS, and Unilever's broader transformation priorities.

2. AI and the future of Organization Design
•Assess how AI, automation, and agentic tools are changing roles, decision rights, team structures and redesign accordingly.
•Build governance frameworks for AI-augmented operations: who decides, who oversees, and how accountability flows.
•Redefine role families to reflect human-AI collaboration — what is automated, what's augmented, what stays human.
•Workforce Planning & Analytics - Build and maintain workforce plans that connect headcount, skills, and capability needs to transformation roadmaps.

Who will you work with?
•Partner with HRBPs, functional leads, Group OD team and project PMOs to validate proposals and keep stakeholders aligned.
•Prepare materials for governance forums, design reviews & Steer Co’s
•Partner with Change & Comms team to ensure people understand what's changing, why, and what it means for them.

What will you bring?
•Experience in organization design, workforce planning, or transformation in a large, global business. Experience with M&A OD would be a plus.
•An understanding of how AI is reshaping roles, governance, and org. models.
•Ability to understand business operating models, business value chains and scenario modelling of organisation design choices on execution, decision making and key metrics (costs, spans etc.)
•The ability to work across a complex matrix, collaboration, challenge status quo & influence senior stakeholders.
•Analytical mindset and confidence with data — workforce analytics, scenario modelling, and tools like Orgvue, Workday, or Power BI.
•Sharp communication skills — you can make complex org design concepts land with any audience.

What will you get?
•A front-row role in shaping major transformation programs across GBS, Supply Chain & Operations, and M&A.
•The opportunity to be coached and developed in a high-impact OD role, while helping build critical in-house organization design capability within Unilever.
•Exposure to senior leaders, future-focused work on AI and high-impact work that will accelerate your growth in organisation design and transformation.

Recruitment Fraud

Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money. In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs. These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.

How is Unilever tackling this?

Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.

What can I do?

If you become aware of potential recruitment fraud, spot fake Unilever recruitment adverts or fake LinkedIn profiles, report them via Una Live Chat.

Unilever does not accept responsibility or liability for any candidates who are financiallyimpactedby recruitment fraud. Your vigilance is key!
