Under the leadership of the department director, assistant director, and/or charge nurse, the orderly is responsible for performing routine cleaning and stocking duties and assisting RN staff with patient care. Performs duties according to the policy and procedures of CHOMP and the department. Important dimensions of this position consist of quality of work, professional commitment, teamwork, interpersonal skills, safety, and good public/customer relations.
One year Nursing Assistance and Orderly duties in an acute care hospital or free-standing ambulatory surgical center preferred. Knowledge of materials management, stocking, and inventory processes helpful. Must have basic computer skills.
High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification is required.

Varied shifts from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., depending on the surgical schedule and patient care needs

The hours employees work determine when a shift differential is paid.
Hourly Evening Shift Differential: $2.01
Hourly Night Shift Differential: $2.95
