We are seeking experienced orderlies, as well as those looking to begin their career, to join our dynamic and supportive team. Working alongside our friendly and knowledgeable registered nurses, our orderlies play a vital role in delivering outstanding patient outcomes and maintaining the highest standards of care.
The successful applicant will be a compassionate and supportive individual with a genuine interest in helping others. As a key part of the orderly role involves transporting and interacting with our patients, excellent interpersonal skills and a patient-centred approach are essential.
How you will make an impact
Be responsible for the safe transport and movement of our pre and post-operative patients both inside and outside of the department
Assist with the safe and timely transportation of medical equipment, supplies, and courier items throughout the hospital to support efficient clinical and operational services.
Provide support and assistance as required, under the direction of a Registered Nurse or other clinical staff.
Provide a high level of customer service to patients, visitors and staff.
Perform cleaning duties, waste management & help maintain cleanliness of equipment.
Be a member of a high performing team with a ‘can do’ culture focusing on providing exceptional quality care to our patients
What we’re Looking For:
Previous experience as a hospital orderly (preferred)
Victorian Working with Children Check
Ability to work well within a multi-disciplinary team.
Ability to take direction and prioritise work.
A commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centred care
Ability to work within the Mission and Values of the organisation
Flexibility and a positive attitude
Attention to detail
Excellent customer service focus and communication skills
Ability to work in a physically demanding role.
