  • Pay Range: $16.50 – $17.00 per hour, plus a $0.50/hr shift differential

  • Shift: 2nd Shift

  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 2:00pm–10:00pm (overtime may be required based on business needs)

Your Role in Our Mission

  • Retrieve
    components and distribute to assembly or staging area. Responsible for monitoring stock levels and
    working with the purchasing group to rectify stocking discrepancies.

  • Organize and read Electronic Distribution of Orders (EDO) and sales orders, including notes, to determine what components are needed.

  • Retrieve correct components to fulfill orders.

  • Distribute components to assembly or staging area in a timely manner to ensure on time delivery of orders.

  • Communicate with supervisor to rectify problems such as shortages and defective covers.

  • Monitor stock quantities and turn in Kanban cards to purchasing group and cutting department.

  • Return unneeded items to stock including covers and foams.

  • Communicate with purchasing group to rectify problems, such as damages, and shortages.

  • Perform inventory audits.

  • Communicate with fabrication department and supervisor/Lead on material substitutions to ensure on time delivery of order.

  • Process material substitution or inventory adjustments with purchasing group.

  • Assist in daily completion of “Cover List” for the sewing department.

  • Follow and comply with all safety, work rules, regulations, ISO procedures, lean Initiatives and lean events.

  • Maintain departmental housekeeping standards. Maintain 5’S Program.

  • Assist in other departments to ensure products are completed on time.

  • Maintain Kanban System and participate in cycle counts

  • Report stocked out items through Electronic Distribution of Orders (EDO)

  • Check in “Cover List” covers delivered by sewing department.

  • Maintains quality service by: Meeting/Exceeding all measurements of
    performance: quality, accuracy, timeliness, and thoroughness of work
    performed.

  • Contributes to team effort by: Maintaining a good
    attendance record; accomplishing related results as needed; having on call
    list responsibility.

  • Tools and Equipment: Utility
    knife, scissors, tape measure, tape gun, stock pickers, fork trucks, Joey
    units, ladders, pallet jacks.

  • Highlight cross-functional collaboration and ownership.

  • Emphasize continuous improvement and efficiency.

What You’ll Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Prior relevant manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide and metric conversions).

  • Ability to read a tape measure.

  • Ability to read, write, and understand instruction detail written and communicated in English.

  • Basic computer knowledge.

  • Good oral and written communication skills in order to interact with employees and supervisor.

  • Become, and maintain, Stock Pickers, WAVE and forklift certification.

  • Ability to read and interpret
    documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and
    procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before employees
    of the organization.

  • Ability
    to define problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draws valid
    conclusions.

  • Basic computer knowledge and ability to navigate the internet to access company portals preferred.

  • Planning/Organization: Prioritize tasks. Handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Good
    communication skills; mechanical aptitude; good problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

  • Strong problem-solving mindset.

Pay Transparency

The expected pay range for this role is $16.50 – $17.00 per hour, plus a $0.50/hr shift differentialFinal compensation will depend on factors such as experience, skills, and internal equity.
