Job Description

The Order Picker - Packer position is responsible for filling orders from the fulfillment racks at ground level and via platform ladder. The Picker – Packer will verify product that has already been picked and comparing it to the pick ticket. They will be responsible for checking quantities, titles and ISBN #’s that are on the pick ticket and boxing/packaging product for shipping.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Read and follow directions off pick ticket.
• Check containers for damage, confirm correct items and quantities are selected.
• Move completed orders to checking area.
• Confirm book titles, ISBN # and quantity of books matches the pick ticket.
• Identify each tub or cart of books with the last three digits of the pick ticket and the quantity of carts or tubs (1 of 3, 2 of 3, etc.)
• Check the print date of the order that are ready to be checked or have been checked and are waiting to be packed to be sure none of the orders are more than 48 hours old.
• Boxing and packaging product for shipping per the pick ticket.
• Checking and packing orders for LTL’s.
• Receiving of any ground receiving

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
• Ability to act with integrity & professionalism.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing.
• Must be able to lift 35 pounds at times.
• Safety shoes required.
