Job Description

Wisconsin Public Service, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, a fortune 500 company, is seeking an Order Picker in our Green Bay, Wisconsin location. The Order Picker is responsible for warehouse activities within a distribution center and includes picking, packaging, shipping materials, and a daily messenger run, on a rotating monthly schedule. This position offers a variety of work that will appeal to those that are interested in learning, problem solving, able to work within a team environment, and are willing to take initiative.

Pay & Benefits: Starting pay is $24.53 per hour and offers regular increases per the bargaining agreement.

Work Hours: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.

Job Responsibilities

  • Fulfill Company orders for materials as directed by Management and/or employees responsible for work distribution
  • Physically picks inventory from designated storage locations and restocks material to ensure accurate and timely delivery of warehouse products
  • Ensure clean and orderly warehouse premises
  • Review and complete all necessary paperwork accurately
  • Utilize the inventory system to perform all essential functions
  • Ensure all work procedures and safety practices are followed
  • Complete all necessary system transactions
  • Operate material handling equipment and ensure safety regulations are followed
  • Delivery of mail and packages to local company buildings, post office, and other locations

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, HSED or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • Experience using a personal computer
  • Must be able to obtain a valid Company forklift operator’s license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Forklift experience
  • Warehouse experience/Understanding of warehouse operations and familiarity with quality and inventory control requirements are desirable

Testing Requirements

  • Stores Aptitude (STRS): Ability to understand mechanic concepts; ability to visualize forms in space; ability to compare details and identify whether the same or different.

Minimum Posting Range: $24.53

Maximum Posting Range: $30.65

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs. At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
