Job Description

As an Order Management Specialist, you will manage the end-to-end order lifecycle, ensuring orders are processed accurately, production and delivery milestones are monitored, and customers receive timely updates throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities Order Management & Contract Administration

  • Create, maintain, and manage customer orders and contracts in SAP.
  • Review and validate commercial, technical, financial, and logistics information before order confirmation.
  • Ensure accurate pricing and contract compliance throughout the order lifecycle.
  • Prepare order confirmations, invoices, and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain customer and product master data records.

Customer Service & Commercial Support

  • Serve as the primary operational point of contact for customers regarding order status and execution.
  • Provide proactive updates on production schedules, shipments, and deliveries.
  • Support commercial teams with reporting, order tracking, and customer requests.
  • Investigate and resolve order-related issues while coordinating corrective actions.

Supply Chain & Logistics Coordination

  • Coordinate closely with production plants, logistics providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Monitor production progress and shipment execution.
  • Manage export and shipping documentation.
  • Support critical order situations and help minimize delivery risks and delays.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Monitor order book performance and prepare operational reports.
  • Coordinate with Sales and Finance teams on credit and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to company procedures, policies, and internal controls.
  • Support claims management and the issuance of credit and debit notes when required.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Sales, Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations teams across multiple locations.
  • Provide backup support within the Order Management team.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies.

What We're Looking For Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, International Trade, Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in:
    • Order Management
    • Sales Administration
    • Customer Service Operations
    • Contract Administration
    • Supply Chain Coordination
  • Experience within the steel, metals, manufacturing, or industrial sectors is highly preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Strong SAP experience (SD module preferred).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of international trade, logistics, and supply chain processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
