Order Management & Procurement Professional (Mumbai)



We are seeking a highly motivated Order Management & Procurement Professional to manage end-to-end procurement, order management, and inbound logistics activities. The role requires close coordination with internal stakeholders, affiliate factories, freight forwarders, customs agencies, and warehouses to ensure uninterrupted supply chain operations, inventory optimization, and timely fulfillment of customer and project requirements.

The incumbent will play a key role in procurement planning, logistics governance, compliance management, and continuous process improvement while driving operational excellence and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Procurement & Order Management :
  • Manage procurement of materials from Siemens affiliate companies and approved sources.
  • Create and maintain purchase orders based on MRP requirements (PTO/PTS), approved indents, and business needs.
  • Execute procurement activities for Sales Orders, HSS, TCS, FTWZ, and Project Orders.
  • Review and adjust procurement plans in line with changing sales forecasts, project schedules, and inventory strategies.
  • Expedite purchase orders and proactively monitor supplier commitments through PEGA and other monitoring tools.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, sales teams, project managers, and internal stakeholders to resolve supply constraints and  delivery issues.

2. Master Data & Planning Governance : 
  • Maintain and update Material Masters, Info Records, Source Lists, Planned Delivery Time (PDT), and Goods Receipt Time (GRT).
  • Ensure data accuracy and compliance with procurement and supply chain standards.
  • Manage material lifecycle activities, including restriction and blocking of phased-out or obsolete materials.

3. Logistics & Supply Chain Management
  • Manage inbound logistics activities involving freight forwarders, CHA, EXIM teams, warehouses, and transport partners.
  • Drive end-to-end shipment planning and execution for sea and air freight.
  • Identify and implement freight optimization opportunities while ensuring delivery commitments.
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations, EXIM requirements, and internal governance processes.

4. Governance, Compliance & Continuous Improvement : 
  • Utilize DASH tools such as E2EDM, DIM, and DIA for operational governance and performance tracking.
  • Monitor and close dashboard activities related to GR/IR, GIT, MTO, and IDPMS.
  • Support GBS teams for IR booking, GIT closure, and transaction accuracy.
  • Address audit observations and support internal and external audit requirements.
  • Drive process improvements, inventory optimization initiatives, and operational efficiency projects.

Requirements

1. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Finance, Engineering, or related discipline.

2. Experience
  • 3-7 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Order Management, Logistics, or related functions.

3. Required Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supply planning, inventory management, and logistics operations.
  • Experience in international procurement, import-export regulations, and customs compliance.
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems and supply chain governance processes.
