Order Entry Representative

Reports to: Supervisor – Sales Administration

Department: Sales

Job Type: Full Time

Location: Hamilton, ON

Salary Range: Starting at $58,000

About the role

The Order Entry Representative is responsible for accurately entering customer orders into Stelco’s ERP system. The individual will be exposed to various aspects of Stelco’s overall business and interaction with multiple functional groups within the organization provides a well-rounded basic knowledge of the order-to-cash process from beginning to end. This is an existing vacancy.

Your day-to-day:

  • Accurately entering orders into Stelco’s ERP system, while ensuring orders are compared to and validated against the customer purchase orders
  • Managing order changes and revisions
  • Checking all documentation to confirm order is entered correctly and per the customer specifications
  • Working closely with Sales staff, production facilities, and technical personnel to ensure accuracy of orders, availability of product, and timely processing

What you bring to the table

Job Qualifications:

  • Diploma in business administration, communications, supply chain management or a closely related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Related experience in the steel, metals or closely related field is an asset

Job Skills and Knowledge:

  • Computer literacy to a working skills level- proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Detail oriented work ethic
  • Organizational and time management skills highly desired
  • Ability to adapt to and master web-based applications – Microsoft D365 experience is an asset
