Job Title: Order Book Planner
Location: Samlesbury, Hybrid - 3 days a week onsite

Salary: £42,850+ depending on experience
This role sits at the heart of supply chain and manufacturing, ensuring materials are planned, ordered and delivered in line with production needs. On a day-to-day basis, it involves reviewing MRP outputs and S&OP inputs to align demand and supply, confirming and adjusting purchase orders, and anticipating the impact of changes to the orderbook before they happen. The role requires close collaboration with buyers, supporting activities such as raising requisitions, managing free-issued stock, and ensuring orders can be placed on time. A key part of the job is analysing data, interrogating orderbook changes, identifying trends, and challenging inconsistencies using tools like ERP systems and Tableau, while also maintaining accurate procurement parameters such as lead times, MOQs and safety stock. Overall, it’s a proactive, analytical position focused on keeping the supply chain running smoothly, preventing issues before they arise, and ensuring the business can meet its production commitments..

You’ll be joining a central team that plays a vital role in keeping the Air Sector running smoothly, taking ownership of enablement and orderbook management across multiple programmes. With a strong focus on Typhoon detail supply into the MSDU, as well as supporting critical in-service spares, the team sits at the heart of operations—ensuring the right parts are available at the right time to support both ongoing production and aircraft in service.
