The Area Sales Representative oversees a geographical sales territory ensuring that independent and regional account business is developed, and budgeted sales and profit objectives are achieved.

Job

The Area Sales Representative is a fieldbased,high activityhunter role with full ownership of a geographic territory. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on being in front of customers, driving territory strategy, andrepresentingamission criticalservice in afast pacedmarket.

This is aroad warriorrole: most days are spent in thefieldmeeting prospects, visiting clients, and building relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow a defined territory through field prospecting, phone outreach, networking, referrals, and ongoing client engagement, includingin personvisits, calls, emails, andrelationship buildingactivities.

  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline frominitialoutreach throughlong-termaccount expansion.

  • Develop a deep understanding of client operations andlogisticsneeds to effectively position Imperative’s solutions.

  • Use data, tools, and market insights to strategically plan daily activities and maximize territory performance.

  • Collaboratewithinternal teams to ensure seamless customer support andlong-termsuccess

  • Represent Imperative professionally and consistently with acustomer firstmindset in all interactions.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong communicationskills with the ability to connect quickly and build professional relationships.

  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to ask great questions and actively listen.

  • Ability to collaborate across internal teams to support customer needs and ensure seamless service.

  • Strong organization, time management, andfollow through

  • CRM experience (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) is preferred but notrequired,training is available.

  • Previoussales orcustomer facingexperience is desired but notrequired;we’recommitted to training motivated candidates.

  • Brings resilience and asolution orientedmindset when navigating challenges or shifting priorities.

  • Creativeproblem-solvingand strategic thinking toidentifyopportunities and drive business growth.

  • Valid Driver’s License within the state territory.

Compensation & Perks

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $70,000–$80,000 (experience & location dependent)

  • Uncapped commission plan

  • $1,000($1,300 EV)monthly car allowance

  • Gas allowance
