Near Griffith, New South Wales • Full-time

A hands-on orchard role with real responsibility

Gunn Agri Partners was established in 2013 and provides agricultural investment and farm management services for Australian, North American and European investors.

Gunn Agri Partners manages over $1.2bn of assets and commitments managed across five investment platforms. Gunn Agri manages agriculture assets Australia wide in mixed farming, grains, grass fed protein, tree nuts, stone fruit and natural capital.

Following the establishment of a new platform investing in high-value horticultural production, land redevelopment and an actively managed water portfolio, we are seeking an experienced Orchard Overseer to support and oversee day-to-day orchard operations.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an Orchard Overseer who enjoys being in the orchard, working with people and keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly.

This role is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of orchard operations, ensuring spray and fertiliser programs are correctly implemented, monitoring tree health and growth, coordinating labour and contractors, and maintaining orchard standards to optimise yield, quality, and compliance

Supporting the Aggregation Manager, you will play a key role in how the orchard performs each day. This role is about doing the work, providing hands-leadership to staff, managing resources, driving continuous improvement, and achieving operational and production targets.

If you’re practical, organised and comfortable guiding others, this is a role where your experience and judgement will be valued.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Coordinating daily orchard tasks and keeping work moving
  • Supporting seasonal programs like spraying, fertilising and harvest
  • Leading staff and contractors and setting clear expectations
  • Keeping an eye on orchard condition, tree health and growth
  • Making sure work is carried out safely and to standard
  • Looking after machinery, tools and general orchard upkeep
  • Recording key activities and supporting compliance requirements

About You

You’ll suit this role if you:

  • Have experience in orchard or irrigated farm operations
  • Are comfortable leading people and coordinating work
  • Enjoy hands-on, practical roles
  • Can plan ahead while adapting day to day
  • Are confident using basic farm systems and technology
  • Take pride in running a tidy, well-organised operation

Formal qualifications are welcome but not essential - experience and attitude matter most.

As the Orchard Overseer, you’ll play a central role in delivering successful orchard operations, taking ownership of daily activities and ensuring seasonal programs are completed safely, efficiently and to plan. You’ll lead staff and contractors by example, coordinate workflows, and maintain high standards across orchard presentation, machinery and infrastructure.

What We Offer

  • Competitive remuneration aligned with skills and experience
  • Safety-first workplace
  • Ongoing, secure employment
  • Respectful, team-focused culture that values reliability and contribution
  • Access to Our Employee Assistance Program
