Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Senior Accountant to take a key role in bringing the accounting of Oras Group's Swedish operations into the Group's own organization, systems, and processes. This is a new role that combines broad general ledger ownership with an international integration project and the implementation of a new QAD ERP environment. The Senior Accountant reports to Manager, Group Accounting, and joins an experienced international accounting organization.

Basic information

• Office location: Rauma is the primary location; Espoo is also possible, with regular travel to Rauma, especially during onboarding and integration (1 year). After onboarding and integration, travelling to Rauma can be limited to a few times a year
• Hybrid-work model: 3 days a week at the office and 2 days remotely
• Travelling: Occasional travel to Sweden, with a higher need during the integration phase; afterwards, travel is expected a couple times a year
• Desired starting date: As soon as possible, subject to the selected candidate's availability
• Contract: Permanent, full-time role

Key Activities and Responsibilities

This is a newly created position linked to Oras Group's integration of Gustavsberg. The Swedish production company has annual revenue of approximately EUR 100 million, excluding internal Group sales, and employs around 300 people. The role evolves from knowledge transfer and implementation work into long-term accounting ownership.

During the integration and transition:

• Participate as a finance representative in the Gustavsberg integration project and build readiness to transfer the Swedish accounting into Oras Group's operating model.
• Learn the existing Swedish accounting processes and support the transfer of knowledge from the current service organization.
• Help harmonize Swedish accounting practices with Oras Group's current and future finance processes.
• Support the testing and rollout of the new QAD ERP environment.
• Work with finance, IT, controlling, and business representatives across the integration project.

After the accounting handover

• Take ownership of the general ledger and the accuracy and quality of accounting for the Swedish production company.
• Manage monthly and year-end closing activities, including financial statements, fixed assets, and related reporting.
• Ensure that internal and external financial reporting is completed accurately and on schedule; monthly closing is targeted for the fourth working day of the following month.
• Coordinate VAT, income tax, statutory reporting, and audit-related activities together with internal stakeholders and external advisers.
• Support finance-related ERP maintenance and continuous improvement in cooperation with the accounting systems specialist.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience – What is Oras Group expecting from you?

We are looking for a proactive and adaptable accounting professional who combines strong substance expertise with curiosity for systems and process development. You are comfortable taking ownership independently, yet collaborate constructively and support colleagues when needed.

The ideal candidate has:

• Accounting experience: Approximately five years of relevant, broad accounting experience, extending beyond accounts payable or accounts receivable work.
• Core expertise: Strong general ledger accounting skills and practical experience in financial statements, VAT, and income tax-related topics.
• Relevant education: Suitable studies in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Systems capability: Good Excel and office application skills, confidence in learning new systems, and willingness to contribute to ERP testing and implementation. Previous QAD ERP experience is not expected.
• Language skills: Good Finnish and English skills. Spoken Swedish is not required, but the ability or genuine willingness to read and understand written Swedish materials is important.
• Working style: A practical, solution-oriented approach, the ability to learn quickly, and the confidence to guide and support others constructively.

Considered an advantage:

• Experience with IFRS or Nordic accounting practices. IFRS can also be learned from a strong accounting foundation.
• Previous exposure to Swedish accounting; this can also be learned from a strong Finnish accounting foundation.
• Experience from an in-house finance organization or from an accounting firm serving larger limited companies.
• Experience in manufacturing or another complex operational environment.
