Job Description

The Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) System Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, security, performance, and availability of Oracle E-Business Suite environments. The role ensures stable and secure operation of Oracle EBS applications and supporting technology stack, manages system configurations and patches, supports upgrades and integrations, and collaborates with infrastructure, database, security, and application teams to deliver reliable Finance and Enterprise services.

This role is critical in maintaining operational excellence, minimizing system downtime, supporting audit and compliance requirements, and enabling continuous improvement across Oracle EBS platforms.

Your role

  • Administer and maintain Oracle E-Business Suite environments across Development, Test, UAT, Pre-Production, and Production.
  • Manage Oracle EBS application tier components, including WebLogic, Forms, Reports, Concurrent Processing, Workflow, and OAF technologies.
  • Perform Oracle EBS cloning, patching, upgrades, technology stack maintenance, and post-deployment validation activities.
  • Manage system configurations, profiles, responsibilities, menus, security accounts, and application access controls.
  • Monitor application availability, performance, capacity, and interface processing to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Support deployment of application releases, customizations, integrations, and environment refresh activities.
  • Manage and troubleshoot concurrent managers, workflows, output processing, notifications, and scheduled jobs.
  • Collaborate with MSP DBA team, infrastructure teams, cloud teams, and application support teams to maintain platform stability and performance.
  • Lead root cause analysis activities for incidents and recurring issues, implementing corrective and preventative actions.
  • Ensure Oracle Critical Patch Updates (CPU), security fixes, and technology stack updates are implemented in accordance with organizational standards.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts for routine administration, deployment, and monitoring activities.
  • Support disaster recovery planning, backup validation, business continuity testing, and recovery exercises.
  • Maintain system documentation, architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and support knowledge articles.
  • Support IT General Controls (ITGC), audit requirements, segregation of duties controls, and security compliance activities.
  • Participate in change, release, incident, problem, and environment management processes aligned with ITIL practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to support analysts, administrators, and project teams.

About you

  • Extensive experience administering Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2 environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle EBS architecture and technology stack.

  • Oracle XML Publisher (BI Publisher)
  • Oracle Concurrent Processing

  • Experience performing:
  • Online patching (ADOP)
  • EBS cloning and refreshes
  • Environment provisioning
  • Application patching and upgrades
  • Performance monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Understanding of Oracle Database architecture and DBA concepts.
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting.
  • Experience using automation and deployment tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
  • Understanding of ITIL Service Management processes.
