Join Bally’s Intralot as an Oracle PL/SQL Developer

Your Role

As an Oracle PL/SQL Engineer at Bally’s Intralot, you’ll be part of the team that designs and evolves the database layer behind our enterprise platforms. You’ll work closely with backend engineers, ensuring seamless integration between PL/SQL logic and Java/Spring Boot services, while contributing to scalable, high-quality solutions used across global markets.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Design, develop, and maintain PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views.

• Collaborate with Java/Spring Boot teams to integrate PL/SQL logic into backend services.

• Optimize SQL queries and database structures for performance and scalability.

• Support data migration activities, ETL processes, and integration between multiple systems.

• Participate in database design, schema reviews, and code quality checks.

• Investigate and resolve performance issues, production incidents, and database bottlenecks.

• Maintain clear and up-to-date technical documentation.

• Contribute to improving development standards, code quality, and automation practices.

Requirements

What You Bring

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle PL/SQL development.

• Strong understanding of SQL tuning, query optimization, and database performance.

• Experience with Oracle tools (TOAD, SQL Developer).

• Working knowledge of Java and Spring Boot for backend integrations.

• Solid foundation in data modelling, relational design, and normalization principles.

• Familiarity with REST APIs, JDBC, or ORM frameworks such as Hibernate/JPA.

• Comfortable working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Clear, structured communication skills and the ability to explain technical topics simply.

• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Git/Bitbucket and CI/CD pipelines for database deployments.

• Familiarity with Unix/Linux shell scripting.

• Exposure to cloud environments (Oracle Cloud, AWS RDS).

• Experience with ETL tools (Informatica, ODI, or custom implementations)
